Dr. Lamson received Level V certification in homeland security

The American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (ABCHS) is part of the American College of Forensic Examiners International (ACFEI), the world’s largest professional forensic organization. ABCHS offers credentialing in homeland security. According to their January 11, 2005 press release: “Today’s reality is that qualified professionals, working in a field related to homeland security, with a variety of specializations, are highly sought after by both government agencies and private industry. This growing demand for highly trained individuals led ACFEI to create the Certification in Homeland Security program.”

Five Levels   There are five levels of certification. The first three require professional accomplishment and formal education. Each level is overseen by a board comprised of 27 experts in Homeland Security.

Level IV (Incident Command Management and Terrorism) focuses on incident management and analysis of both domestic and international terrorist groups.

Level V (CBRNE, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosives) looks at catastrophic events from medical, physiological, and personnel management perspectives.

Dr. Lamson has achieved Level V, the highest level of certification offered. He is qualified to join responders in dealing with the psychological ramifications of homeland security issues.
